They are very fond of licking and sucking on each other.  Here I’ve kept it face to face.  I’m glad Muppet no longer just lies there, but they do need to develop some other interests. Once they can see, I’ll move them to bigger digs.  Her eye looks better in non-flash light.  His eyes are just starting to open.

I also have some pictures from Vernon’s new family, although his name is changing.  He has a dog now.matched set

With a happy adoptive guardian like that, I’d say ex-Vernon’s going to do ok.

How often do you get kittens who haven’t opened their eyes yet, and what’s the survival rate?

somewhere in this wordpress site, I have a copy of my spreadsheet info. I’m over 90% survival, but that includes older kittens. This age is more fragile, but I’m getting more alert to problems. I BEBHS is getting more expertise too. Sometimes even older kittens suddenly fade out, as in a couple of winters ago with LBJ and Clara. This set will likely finish out the kitten season for me. Knock on wood that they continue to do well, I should have them until after Halloween.

Vernon’s dog is easily intimidated I’m told, so Vernon is probably bossing him around.
