Nora has a pretty serious relationship going with the snake’s heat lamp. It’s been raining outside EVERY door of the house, and not cold enough for people to bother heating, so this is her spot. She did explore the kitten room a lot and hangs out there if I’m there, but the lamp is warm. (The brush is still a true love of hers, but the heat lamp does not require human action.)
Occasionally I get very young kittens in the winter months, but they tend to have worse health issues. Sometimes I take in older kittens, but it’s harder to keep the more competent ones out of the rest of the house. Kitten season begins again probably mid-March.
