Now when they notice I’ve entered the room, they work on getting out of bed. They’re still pretty unsure of those big steps down from the bedding on the heating pad, so they are very careful and slow. Then they are a little uncertain if they can cross the towel, and they really don’t want to walk on the floor. If I’m close enough to the towel they do try, and even try to climb the cliff that is my knee, up to the land of milk, though not honey. They pretty much know their way back to bed, although they appreciate the hat being open a bit so it’s easier to crawl inside it. While perched on their warm bed though, they are looking curiously at the world beyond it.
