Zifra’s eyes started opening yesterday, on their two week birthday. They’re still tiny slits.
Zinky complained a lot last night and some this morning, but all three kittens are eating like crazy and getting hugely round.

I once had a kitten whose eyes opened then closed again. I didn’t think much of it at first, but after a few hours I thought maybe he had eye crusties, so I wiped it down with a warm cloth.. the puss that issued forth freaked me out.. I thought the eye had ruptured there was so much in there..
he was fine, but it was weird, and your post made me think of it.

A lot of times, pus from infections anywhere near pools up in the eyes when they’re still shut. A warm wet cloth, and sometimes some persistence, is needed to relieve the pressure. The eyes and the belly button are common pus pockets, but this group has only had digestive problems.
