So …. talk about these cat entertainment apps. Some must work better than others, and work differently for different cats; we had some kittens when I was a kid who could see flashlight spots and chase them, while others seemed blind to them.

Cat Alone and Cat Alone 2 are nicely designed. They have made it harder to exit, but my android still has the back-home-active icons available. Zooch managed to activate the home screen and load the drawing program–I changed the pen width and color. I also have a free friskies goldfish app, but it’s dressed up as a game. I’ve seen some beautiful koi pond apps, but the simple green dot is the most interesting for most cats. I sometimes put the doid in a cardboard wrapper to cover the bac-home-current buttons.

Android 5.0.0 has some way to pin an app such that the user can’t exit it. It’s meant for handing your phone over to someone else, like kids.
