Theo seems to have a bit of a vision issue. He does a lot of hand waving while approaching something, as if he’s not sure of distance. He has been fascinated by shadows, but not yet the laser dot. I know kittens don’t pay attention to fast motion until they’re coordinated enough to chase, and being sick slowed him some, but still. Then I found this:
Gist: there is sometimes a wiring problem that cats learn to work around, by squinting in order to get binocular vision.
As someone who had interventions when young to develop binocular vision, (and my binocular vision is not great even now) it’s something I’m more aware of.
A small tail kink is often found in persian and siamese cats. It’s not necessarily a poorly healed break. Theo has a little kink right near the tip.
He got to meet a friend who hopes to adopt him. They get along fine.
