Ironman was very happy to reclaim his childhood territory. Budd and Beatrix were adopted this afternoon.

A never-sewn zipper is the current toy of choice. They had their neutering yesterday and are fine. Yesterday, they were a little jumpy and ditsy, but nothing major. They were also STARVED. I think they probably had been fed after surgery, but they kept wanting more. A well-fed kitten doesn’t pick at stitches, so they were accommodated.
They’re available for adoption Friday.
Don’t know why I’ve waited so log to bring a bag up. This one is huge. The handles are extra toys.
A few days ago, Beatrix had the runs and lost some weight, then felt better, pooped better, and is back to gaining weight. Then Budd got a bit loose, but he has not lost any weight. His main problem is that he steps in in and then has to put up with some foot-washing. He is very annoyed by the assistance.
The vets had some sort of emergency come up so Budd and Beatrix went in for surgery but came back without having had any. Budd was a smidge under weight anyhow. They try again next week.
Beatrix is two pounds today. Budd is working hard to get there.
Beatrix has been working on her kangaroo skills: she stands up on 2 legs and hops at Budd before pouncing on him.
They’re a bit late on vaccinations, but get some today. It’s nice to go in for a well visit.
Ironman has gotten more involved with upstairs and is curious about the kittens. I have a door toy set up as a gate toy now and they can interact.
If current weight trends hold, Beatrix will be 2 pounds before the weekend; Budd might be by mid next week.
Beatrix had gone to the next step on her own, but I’d not seen Budd do it until I put the ramp on the ladder. They’ve figured how to get down, and Beatrix figured out how to get to the third step.
At their current rate, they should each weigh two pounds in two weeks.
