If no one is in the room but he’s heard someone anywhere in the last 10 minutes, Gorgon cries and cries. If someone comes in, he’s all over them for quite a while, but eventually can play with things while not being held. Here, he’s playing with the pull string for a light. He really needs a companion animal.

Duo
Hammie will be off with his family later this afternoon, leaving poor Gorgon to be a solo kitten. It will be his first time alone other than Sunday after Demi got adopted. I hope that this Friday he gets lucky.
The Shadow
Hammie still loves to chase shadows. El got adopted yesterday. While Gorgon and Demi are out being available today, I gave Hammie nearly the run of the upstairs. He alternates between being very excited and racing about to snuggling on the bed. He has been very determined to get out of the kitten room.
I just added a video:
And Demi got adopted today, so today Gorgon and Hammie can keep each other company, but Gorgon will be solo most of next week.
All Still Here
None of mine got adopted today. Hammie had a quiet day at home until I left to pick up the others. As soon as I was out of the room, he started crying loudly. My husband got home before me and kept him company until I got back with the Stranger Things litter. Then, when I brought the crew some turkey broth, Hammie escaped the room to go exploring without me noticing for a while.
Guest Cats
Hammie is here as a visitor now, after spending thanksgiving with his new family. The cats dislike him and the dog ignores him, but I’m sure the feline dynamics will work out. Hammie will be solo kitten sortly when I take the others to their first adoption event, which should be black (and white) cat Friday.
Smuge is also here, having arrived after midnight. He’s with Mack. Maybe he’ll play with Hammie.
Purr Puddle
Everyone is doing well, not bothered by stitches or anything. They’re all eating very well and not missing any food in the corners.
The Other Half
Today is Demi and Gorgon’s turn to chill at home while El and Hammie get fixed. Hammie’s still not two pounds, but is close enough.
All My Ducks In A Row
I still sometimes scoop the food from the edges to the center to get them to finish it, but it’s so much tidier than it used to be. Tomorrow morning, Gorgon and Demi have their first adoption day. El is now over 2 pounds, and Hammie likely will be close enough next week for, well, Thanksgiving fixings.
Ah, just found out they’re going to wait until next week to make them all available together–except for Hammie who is already spoken for by a friend.
Left Behind
The shelter folks changed their minds and did decide to alter Gorgon and Demi today. They got confused on genders and names though, and let me be there for re-weighing. The weights matched my morning measures, with Gorgon being comfortably over 2 pounds and Demi being a smidge under. I get them back this evening.
Everyone got their third vaccinations and flea treatments, by the smell of it.
….
And everyone’s home, hale and hearty, although rather shaved.
